eVTOL Aircraft Weighing Solutions

Aircraft weights have a dramatic effect on lift, propulsion, control (pitch, roll, yaw) and battery longevity. Weigh and balance procedures are a critical part of any eVTOL development program. About one-third of gross weight consists of just the airframe. During the prototype stage, engineers work to identify weight savings for maximum efficiency. The AC15-LP™ combines aviation industry leading accuracy in a platform that weighs just 39 lb (18 kg). The low-profile platform eliminates the need for long ramps and enables the aircraft to be easily towed on to the weighing surface. Intercomp’s GaugeSense™ technology includes fully electronic shear beam load cells with state-of-the-art strain gauge load sensing and electronics. These mitigate the effects of side and rotational forces, and load cells are linearized to deliver accurate and repeatable results through the entire range of capacity.
