Boeing MH-139 Support Team Completes Weight & Balance Process Certification photo
The Boeing MH-139 Support Team completed the United States Air Force (USAF) authorized and accredited Certified Weight & Balance Training with Intercomp’s Director of Weight & Balance Training, Pat McIntyre.

Boeing MH-139 are USAF contractors that previously had minimal A&P knowledge. During the two-part training program, the team received classroom and practical instruction using the seamless wireless interface of Intercomp’s Jack Weigh Kit and the AWBS software application. Topics covered included weighing requirements, weighing preparation, procedures, documentation, and troubleshooting. After completing the training, the Boeing MH-139 team earned a 1-1B-50 Certification for both Weight & Balance and AWBS Software. Additionally, any of their A&P Mechanics are now able to use their advanced knowledge of the process and know how to utilize the equipment on their brand new airplanes. This change provides measurable time savings since they now can complete three weighing procedures in only 20 minutes.

Featuring RFX™ Wireless Weighing Technology for safe and convenient cable-free top-of-jack weighing. Intercomp’s Jack Weigh Kits™ use technologically advanced digital output load cells, which perform an analog to digital conversion right at the cell itself, for complete interchangeability of all components. This minimizes down time because it eliminates the need to recalibrate, allowing spares to be swapped on site. The field proven load cell design mitigates influences of transverse forces, bending moments, torque and temperature variations for accurate and repeatable results.
